Job Title: Storage & Backup Engineer / Consultant

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Storage & Backup Engineer with hands-on experience in enterprise storage platforms and backup solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for deployment, configuration, migration, and support of storage and backup environments across customer infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities

Storage Management

• Install, configure, and manage enterprise storage systems including HPE Alletra MP B10k, X10k and Greenlake for File Storage among others.

• Perform hardware rebalancing, capacity upgrades, and custom engagements (remote copy / replication setup) etc.

• Execute storage migrations:

• External migrations from legacy (X unit) systems to Alletra Platform.

• Internal migrations from 3PAR/Primera/Nimble to Alletra

• Monitor storage performance, capacity planning, and optimization

• Troubleshoot storage-related issues and ensure high availability

Backup & Recovery

• Configure and manage backup solutions using industry-leading tools such as:

• Veeam

• Commvault

• NetBackup

• Deploy, configure, and manage HPE StoreOnce appliances, including:

• Backup target configuration and integration with backup applications

• Deduplication optimization and capacity management

• Catalyst configuration and performance tuning

• Design and implement backup strategies aligned with customer requirements

• Perform backup-level migrations and transitions (including StoreOnce integrations)

• Ensure data protection, recovery readiness, and compliance with SLAs

• Troubleshoot backup failures, StoreOnce-related issues, and optimize overall backup performance

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with HPE storage platforms (3PAR, Alletra, Primera)

• Experience in data migration strategies and execution

• Proficiency in enterprise backup tools (Veeam, Commvault, NetBackup)

• Hands-on experience with HPE StoreOnce (deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting)

• Good understanding of:

• Linux/VMware

• SAN/NAS

• RAID, replication, snapshots

• Storage protocols (iSCSI, Fibre Channel)

• Knowledge of backup architecture, deduplication technologies, DR strategies, and retention policies

• Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues
