Job Description:

Role Description

Remote technical consultant who is responsible for the end-to-end deployment, installation, configuration, and validation of PCBE environments, with strong hands-on expertise across HPE VM Essentials/VME Manager, HVM compute, HPE Alletra storage, networking, and virtualization technologies including VMware vCenter and ESXi. The role is responsible for technical design review, deployment readiness, infrastructure integration, and implementation of PCBE VMWare or VME enviornment , ensuring availability, performance, and operational readiness across compute, storage, networking, and virtualization layers.

The engineer will be responsible for VME and VMWare based PCBE environment’s along with, Alletra storage integration, Network L2,L3 switch configuration/management and firewall validation, and post-deployment health checks. The role requires close collaboration with end customers and field engineers and internal project managers to ensure successful implementation of the PCBE solution.

Additionally, the position contributes to installation and configuration documentation, validation reports, documentation, knowledge transfer, operational handover, and standardization of PCBE deployment practices.

 

Technical Skills

·        Strong hands-on experience on Linux, KVM based or VMware hypervisors

·        Strong expertise in SAN storage preferably HPE Alletra block storage , including storage provisioning, iSCSI connectivity, datastores, host connectivity, and storage validation. 

·        Good understanding of L2,L3 Networking  technologies , including VLANs tagging, LACP, spanning-tree, leaf spine architecture,  IP addressing, DNS, NTP, routing, switching, and firewall requirements

·        Experience with compute-to-storage and compute-to-network connectivity troubleshooting, including iSCSI and management/data network paths.

·        Ability to review technical design documents, identify deployment prerequisites, validate firewall/network requirements, and translate design into implementation activities.

·        Good understanding of high availability, clustering, storage resiliency, and hybrid cloud architecture.

·        Familiarity with HPE management and support tools, CLI-based troubleshooting, firmware/patch management, and infrastructure health monitoring.

·        Understanding of PCBE/Morpheus integration, including VME Manager and Morpheus management architecture.

·        Knowledge of VMware migration technologies and tools, including V2V migration concepts and migration tools such as River Meadow.

·        Ability to perform PCBE installation readiness checks, deployment validation, health checks, and troubleshooting across compute, storage, networking, and virtualization layers.

·        Experience in preparing implementation plans, installation/configuration documentation, validation reports, as-built documentation, and operational handover documents.

 

 

 

Other responsibilities:

  • Respond to service, product, technical, and customer relations questions on subjects such as features, specifications, and Deployment of various hardware & software. 

  • Ability to take ownership of a project and drive it to completion with customer satisfaction.

  • Ability to provide direction to team activities and facilitate information validation and team decision making process.

  • Participate in Knowledge creation and management activities.

  • Assess and appreciate technical issues as well as the customer's business impact and communicate appropriately with the customer.

  • Participate in after-hours remote support rosters.

  • Willingness to work in a 24x7 environment.

  • Experience in troubleshooting in a technical environment

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Software and hardware knowledge of computing and storage

  • Able to lead resolution activities with escalated customers.

  • Ability to mentor new agents and contribute to technical action plans.

  • Zeal for going the extra mile to solve customer issues.

 

 

Eligibility

Educational qualification – Bachelor/Masters in technical field or equivalent experience

2+ years in Storage Area Network, HCI technology preferably HPE HCI/dHCI solutions

1+ years in Private cloud/Hybrid cloud environments

2+ years in VMware virtualization & Networking

2 + years in Ubuntu - Linux virtualization & Networking

1+ Year’s in L2/L3 Networking , preferably HPE Aruba switches or NVDIA Mellanox switches
