System Engineer at DBAce Technologies

Scope:

The Candidate should have a prior background working in IT Infrastructure and should have a solid high-level understanding of the underlying IT principles (Systems, Network, Software, IaC and Virtualization).Key activities will include Windows system OS patch management and ensuring the security and stability of Windows server environment by effectively reducing the vulnerability counts. The server hardware is a mixture of Dell, NetApp, Azure& VMWare.

Our current technical environment:

·         Operating System: Windows

·         Hyper converged Environment:VMWare

·         Programming languages: PowerShell,Batch scripts and Shell scripting

·         Cloud Architecture: MS Azure (Terraform, ARM templates, Virtual Networks, Azure AD)

·         Configuration management tools: Ansible and Terraform

·         DevOps Tools: GIT, GitLab/GitHub and Docker (good to have)

What you’ll do:

• Identify, assess, and prioritize security vulnerabilities in Windows server environments.

• Develop and implement strategies for remediation and mitigation of vulnerabilities.

• Implement security best practices and hardening guidelines to safeguard Windows servers.

• Experience with Windows Patch management applications/tools.

• Apply right fixes to mitigate vulnerabilities related to EX; SSL, TLS, Windows defender antimalware and SSL ciphers, Windows LM/ NTLM authentication, etc.

• Analyze system performance and suggest/implement tuning as needed, Patch Windows, VMware server environments, both software and firmware, on scheduled basis as well as urgent security release.

• Perform Troubleshooting & Diagnose of Servers and Storage

• Primary management of corporate Server infrastructure

• Managing server backups, deletion, and restoration of data.

• Experienced with Infrastructure deployment automation tools like Ansible& Terraform also PowerShell scripting

• Abiding by Incident, Change and Problem Management procedures, including complying with the Service Level Agreements.

What we are looking for:

·         5+ years of Strong Window (2008/2008R2, Windows 2012, Windows 2016, 2019, 2022& 2025) systems administrator

·         Proven experience as a Windows System Administrator with a focus on Security

·         Hands-on experience and knowledge on writing scripts using PowerShell, Ansible, etc.

·         Strong knowledge of Windows server operating systems, security tools and best practices

·         Experience with vulnerability scanning and assessment tools like Crowdstrike, Orca, etc.

·         Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
