Microsoft SQL - DBA
Description:
Architect, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL Database instances.
Manage database CI/CD deployment pipelines using tools like Flyway or Liquibase.
Lead end-to-end application performance engineering by analyzing execution plans and wait statistics.
Optimize problematic queries and schemas alongside development teams.
Maintain High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) via Always On Availability Groups.
Monitor system health using Extended Events, DMVs, and APM platforms.
Responsible for monitoring health of databases and suggesting improvements from Infra and query tuning point of view.
Ability to use monitoring tools like IDERA SQL Diagnostic Manager and DynaTrace.
Responsible for all technical upgrades for Microsoft SQL.
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and DBA automation tasks.
Familiarity with cloud migrations (AWS RDS/EC2 or Azure SQL).
Be practive to lead teams and impliment best practices for deployment startegies.
Act as the SME for all DB related tasks including backups, DB jobs, etc.
Communicate effectively with multiple teams and raise risks with stakeholders as needed.
